At Barons Court Primary School and Nursery we aim to ensure that we meet all the needs of the children who are learning English as an additional language. We currently have 29 different languages spoken altogether in our school. We value and welcome the cultural, linguistic and educational experiences that pupils with EAL bring to our school community and our aim is to help pupils and their families become confident and fluent in speaking, listening, reading and writing in the English language in order to fulfil their academic potential. Our EAL support is provided by home group teachers and our Learning Support Assistants.
At our school we are proud to work in partnership with all families and our wider community where we offer a wide variety of support for adults through our learning programmes.
