What to wear
To help us help the children develop greater independence, we ask that parents use the nursery uniform that is easy to put on or take off. The uniform serves as ‘overalls’ that nobody need worry about. Many of the activities in Nursery are messy and aprons/waterproof clothing do not always keep clothes clean.
We discourage parents from buying school trousers, pinafores, dresses, school shoes etc. So very often these types of clothes are too big for our young children, hinder their play and are quite uncomfortable for them, especially outdoors, when trying to run, climb, jump, dig etc.
Red or white polo shirt
Black joggers or jogger shorts
Sturdy trainers with velcro fastening
CLEARLY NAME ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING - This cannot be emphasised enough! If your child's name is on their clothing we have some chance of getting it back to you.
Make sure your child has a coat everyday. They spend lots of time in the outdoor environment, all year round and the British weather is very changeable.
